Short Bio

Andrew brings with him a background in computational science, embedded Linux, database administration, web frameworks, and operations. In addition to technical interests, Andrew is focused on finding ways to balance prescriptive processes with the uniqueness of projects and teams. He works full time developing and talking about Puppet, an open source system management framework which provides semantics and automation for repetitive administration tasks. Andrew has been a regular participant in the Salt Lake City Agile Roundtable and a team member or manager in an Agile setting since 2004. He is uncovering better ways of developing scalable application infrastructure by doing it and helping others do it.
