Short Bio

I first used Agile at a start up called Evity in 1999 (though at the time we didn’t call it Agile since the term didn’t exist). We did iteration planning, daily stand ups, retrospectives and released to production every two weeks. Within 4 months we had a beta. Within 6 we were GA. Within 9 we were bought by BMC.

At BMC, we used Agile practices for another couple of years before we were sucked into standardization on waterfall practices. Then in 2005 we re-emerged and led the charge towards Agile within BMC. Now BMC has around 1000 developers using Agile. Earlier this year I left and started my own company to help others with Agile. I’m currently doing Agile consulting and I have created an Agile project management tool called Planigle.
