XP: My Greatest Misses 2000-2009
Add to calendarAny successful recording artist eventually submits to releasing a “Greatest Hits” album. This is the opposite: a beat-up XP coach putting his biggest and furthest-reaching mistakes in a neat package and releasing them to the public. This talk could also be named “Ten ways to guarantee your Agile transition is a total failure”, or “Apologies of an XP coach”; however I’m sure I’ll mention more than ten mistakes and I make no apology for them.
This is a straight talk in the style of campfire stories. I tell stories, people ask questions, I invite attendees to tell stories, and it’s one long discussion. This talk attracted 100 people at Agile 2008 and was one of the highlights of the conference for many. The article on which this talk is based (which is attached) garnered attention as being refreshingly frank and open.
