AgilePalooza Speaker Panel

What are you doing Tuesday evening? You may have seen "sponsor reception" on the website and thought "Oh man, not another vendor marketing event?!" Don't fret, this year we will be doing a speaker panel with a fantastic line up of panelists. The event will take place from 7 - 9pm in Riverside East on Tuesday (where meals take place) so come have a drink, network with fellow agilists and take in the panel discussion.

What is it? - The AgilePalooza Speaker Panel
This is the “not just another vendor marketing event”. Generously supported by a variety of companies, there will be a speaker panel of experienced agile coaches and trainers speaking to questions submitted at http://Panel.AgilePalooza.com. The thought here is to provide another avenue of learning while getting everybody together to mix and network. The evening will be based on the AgilePalooza mantra – Serious learning in a fun atmosphere.

Where do the questions come from? - From you!
We will be collecting questions online prior to the event. Simply go to http:// Panel.AgilePalooza.com and submit a question for the panel. You will then be able to vote and comment on all of the questions submitted. You must register in order to submit, vote or comment but don’t panic – your registration information will not be used by any sponsoring company for marketing or email. The registration for this system is not connected to any other database and will not be extracted for marketing purposes. Your email address will strictly be used to confirm your registration with the system.

What is the format?

We will be using a timer for each question. Each question will get an initial 5 minutes of discussion with the panel. The audience will then vote whether to discuss for 5 minutes more or to move on to the next question. Audience members will be provided with auction paddles with a red side and a green side. Red means move on, green means 5 minutes more. This has proven to be a great way to move panel discussions along to benefit of the entire audience.

Who is on the panel?

Confirmed panelists include: David Hussman (renowned coach from DevJam), Brent Barton (CTO of SolutionsIQ), Chris Beale (Vice President at Pillar Technology), Jean Tabaka (Certified Scrum Trainer and Agile coach at Rally Software) and Ian Culling (CTO at VersionOne).

We need your help.

Remember, this is a community event and we need you to help in building a solid backlog of questions. Get on the system and submit, vote and comment. Return to see if others have commented looking for clarification on your question. Feel free to do the same for others. Questions will go to the panel based on votes and we will see how many we can get through. The best part is, the audience decides.

We would like to thank the generous sponsors that dug back into their budgets to support this event:

SolutionsIQ | VersionOne | DevJam | RallyDev | Pillar Technology

Both Serena and Outsystems were also the first to step up to purchase drink tickets that will be given away at their booth so if you want free drinks, visit them or one of the sponsors above. I am sure there will be more as the evening gets closer so stay tuned.
